Extracurricular Activities

Whether you’re swinging a racket on the tennis courts, debugging code in our coding clubs, or tumbling through the gymnasium, there’s a place for every interest and a community for everyone. UIS delivers a spectrum of activities ranging from sports clubs to music and drama groups, academic competitions, and leadership programs.

Duke of Edinburgh

Tackle real-world challenges, from navigating unforgiving terrains to learning essential life skills like first aid and cooking. Uptown International School proudly offers the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award to students in Grade 9 or above, joining eight million participants worldwide. The award’s comprehensive program aligns with the IB philosophy of nurturing independent, caring, and responsible individuals ready to take on the world.

Performing Arts

The performing arts are vital to our educational ethos, offering students a platform to shine, explore their creativity, and grow. Our state-of-the-art Dance and Drama studios, equipped with stage lighting and surround sound, set the stage for an immersive learning and creative experience.

Drama

Through the Drama curriculum, students explore many areas of the subject, developing their basic skills and knowledge.

Music

Music plays an integral role to life at Uptown. The department has superb facilities for ensemble and individual performance

Dance

Our Dance opportunities continue to rise in popularity every year.

Performances

Performances at Uptown are a regular occurrence, students from Grades 6-12 are given the opportunity to participate in whole school productions

توفر مكتبات المدارس الابتدائية والثانوية التركيز على الاستفسار والبحث داخل المدرسة. يحتوي كلا المستويين من طوابق المكتبة على خدمة الواي فاي وغرف الدراسة. يحتوي برنامج السنوات المبكرة على مكتبة منفصلة خاصة به داخل منشأة رياض الأطفال التي تخدم مرحلة ما قبل الروضة وKG1 و2.
