How to Apply
The process of applying to Uptown International School is a simple three-step process.
Uptown International School is an authorized International Baccalaureate World School for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).

- Please check our age categories to see which year group is correct for your child based on their date of birth.

Finalizing the Application

- The confirmation email will provide a list of required documents and details on how to contact our admissions team.
- Make an appointment for your child’s assessment and pay the one-time, non-refundable and non-transferable application fee.
- All students applying to Uptown International School must be assessed, regardless of age, grade, school or nationality.

Securing a Place

- We will contact you with a date for your child’s placement assessment, administered by the Admissions Office and Uptown International School faculty.
- After the assessment and upon receiving an acceptance letter, a deposit fee is required to reserve your seat.
- A seat cannot be held until the deposit payment is received. We will advise of the amount in the acceptance letter.
- Acceptance to Uptown International School is contingent upon the placement assessment results, student interview and former school reports.

Apply for Admission
Admission Details
1. Prior to the Assessment
- One copy of the child’s/children’s passport and one copy of the parent's or guardian's.
- Copy of past two years' school report, signed and stamped on the school’s letterhead.
- Copy of any diagnostic testing, educational assessment or psychological assessment (if applicable).
- Emirates id copy of student and parents
- Student birth certificate
- Most recent school report of the student school letterhead paper, signed, dated and stamped
- Previous years school reports
- Application Fee of AED 500 plus 5% VAT added per government regulations. A placement assessment will not be undertaken until the application fee is received.
- Fees can be paid in person or using the Credit Card Authorization Form.

2. Following Assessment and Offer
- A non-refundable 4,000 registration fee is required to secure your child’s seat.
- Student photo
- Transfer (leaving) certificate
- Medical vaccination certificate
3. Before School Begins
- For Overseas Transfers: copy of the Transfer Certificate from your child's previous school, attested as per KHDA requirements.
- For Local Transfers: A KHDA-attested Transfer Certificate from the previous school is required. For Transfer Certificates, please click here.
- Recent medical record and copy of child’s/children’s vaccination card.
