Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award transcends cultural, physical, and socio-economic boundaries, challenging participants to exceed their personal best and recognize their accomplishments. Established in 1956 by His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh, it has since inspired over eight million young individuals across more than 140 countries, encouraging them to become independent, empathetic, and resilient leaders.
The program is structured around four key areas, offering adventure and an opportunity to acquire essential life skills. From journeys that teach survival and teamwork skills to activities that demand physical engagement, participants are urged to set and achieve SMART goals and reflect on their growth and learning throughout the process.
